Emma Summers…
My earliest memory of Juice is being sat in an attic room at No 11 Manvers Street. That was in May 1998, 25 years ago. At that time, I had just got married and I knew this was my opportunity to make a difference. Luckily the £7000 I had from selling my car, gave me six months grace to turn my dream into a reality.
I had been thinking about opening a consultancy for a while, but I wanted it to be done differently. I wanted Juice to create a new rule book: one that was focused on people, candidates and clients feeling like they were appreciated, cared for and looked after.
When it came to creating the business, I wanted a name that summed up something fresh and invigorating. I asked a small local graphic designer to help design a logo encapsulating some very clear values. I knew it would work well for those seeking new opportunities and those striving to attract great new talent.
I envisioned people using us as a partner, always having the assurance that they would get to see the brightest new talent. When we first opened, I remember the current Bath Rugby team, whose offices were downstairs, coming up to help answer the phone. If only the candidates knew they were talking to Jerry Guscott and Victor Ubogu!
There are such great stories about those early years, and to this day Juice continues to be a place where people create fond memories and have done so for 25 years…
Juice will continue to be a home where the best of times happen, now and in the future.
